The Purpose and Significance of MYHAP Maui Flow Fest

In the aftermath of the recent fires and amidst the ongoing challenges our community faces, it has become increasingly clear that our teenagers need us more than ever. Often seen as the most independent age group, teens may not always ask for help, feeling a hesitancy to burden others with their struggles. The MYHAP Maui Flow Fest is our response to this silent plea for recognition and support.

We are proud to announce that this initiative is supported by partnerships with Maui Behavioral Health Resources, Maui United Way, Hawaii Community Foundation, Good 360, and the Red Cross. Together, we aim to provide an event that not only offers fun and relaxation but also delivers powerful messages of love, support, and the importance of mental health awareness.

Creating Safe Spaces for Our Teens

Now, more than ever, it's crucial that we create environments where our adolescents can feel safe to be themselves, to enjoy the company of their peers, and most importantly, to have fun without worries. The MYHAP Maui Flow Fest is designed to be one such space - a place where the youth of Maui can come together, dance, play games, and enjoy the festivities in a supportive and nurturing environment.

A Message of Love and Support

At the heart of this event is our message to the teens: "We see you, and we love you." Maui Behavioral Health Resources will play a significant role in conveying this message. They will be hosting a popular attraction among high schoolers - the photo booth. This interactive space will not only provide memorable keepsakes but will also display encouraging messages emphasizing that it's okay to ask for help, that seeking assistance is a strength, and that accepting help when offered is a crucial step towards healing and growth.

Scholarships and Support

Understanding that the cost of tickets may be a barrier for some families, we are committed to ensuring that every teen who wishes to attend can do so. Thanks to the generosity of our community and partners, scholarships are available to assist with ticket costs, ensuring no one is left behind.

The MYHAP Maui Flow Fest is more than an event; it's a statement - a declaration that our youth matter, their well-being is a priority, and that our community is united in support of them.
